We’re delighted to share the news that Social Entrepreneurs Ireland is now open for applications! Incredible things happen when we support each other to take action and SEI is here to support you on your journey.
Every year we ask for people with ambition and insight, courage and compassion, to tell us about their idea to make Ireland better. And every year, we have hundreds of application, from people all over the island who are already making a difference in their communities. This past year we were very inspired by the Barack Obama quote “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
Recent times have proven that innovation and resilience are two of strongest assets as a society. All around us we see people not just coming up with ideas, but following through, working tirelessly – being the change they wish to see. We see that innovation and motivation across the SEI community and the nation, and this year we’re looking to support more people with the ideas and passion to solve social problems through our Ideas Academy and Impact Programme.
Do you have an idea to solve a social problem, but aren’t sure how to develop it? Do you have insight and determination? Apply to our Ideas Academy! Are you leading an organisation that’s helping solve a social problem, but need support bringing it to the next level? Do you want to grow your impact, whilst embedding good practice? Apply to our Impact Progamme!
We’ll be hosting an informative Spark Session event for all potential applicants on Monday, 7th March at 1pm. The event will outline the supports available through the two programmes. On the eve of International Women’s Day, attendees will hear from two SEI alumni – Madeleine Murray, co-founder of Change by Degrees and Sinéad Ryan, founder of Little Fitness. Our team will be on hand to answer questions about the application process over the course of 90 minutes. Book your free place here.
Applications to our Ideas Academy and Impact Programme are open until midnight on Tuesday, 5th April. Check out our FAQ page or get in touch if you have any other questions. Be the change you seek. You got this. Good luck!
